| John Altman and Ronnie Ross at Buckhurst Hill |
Happened on this site from the US via a post on jazz west coast,
and
can't tell you how delighted I am to find it. As you may recall Ronnie was
a founder member of my big band in
1985 and remained a constant
till he passed away. Sadly, he first became seriously ill on a recording
session for
me, and also did his last recording for me on a TV drama.
He always gave 200% and was the nicest man and a true friend.
I still
cherish the memories of the two baritone sets we did up at the Prince of
Wales in Buckhurst Hill. Thanks for
cheering up this sunny LA morning
